Biography
Myself Kamrun Nahar Mousomi from the southeastern part of Bangladesh. Though I was born and raised in Khagrachhari hill tracts, my ancestral home town is Comilla. Among three siblings, I am the middle and only daughter of Md. Abdur Rob and Layla Nur. My father is a Teacher of Secondary High School and mother is a Family Welfare Visitor under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh. I have passed the secondary school certificate examination from Ramgarh Girls' High School, Khagrachhari, and higher secondary school certificate examination from Cantonment College, Comilla at 2006 and 2008, respectively. I have completed Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh, obtaining the highest result (CGPA 3.975/4.00) among all the regular students of the university during my session 2009-2010. For this reason I have been awarded the prestigious Chancellor Gold Medal, Prime Minister Gold Medal, and University Award for Excellence. Then I did Master of Science in Agricultural Chemistry from the same university at 2016 with the highest academic result (CGPA 4.00/4.00). I received National Science and Technology fellowship under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Bangladesh to do my MS thesis project. I have involved and conducted some projects of my interests and published research articles. My research interests are environmental remediation, soil chemistry, contaminant chemistry, water chemistry, soil and plant nutrient management. From December 2018, I am serving as an academic member at the Department of Agricultural Chemistry, Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh. Currently I am in study leave as I am doing my PhD at the University of Newcastle, Australia.
