Biography
I am currently working as an academician and researcher at Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh, where I actively contribute to the fields of veterinary medicine and animal science. I earned both my DVM and MS degrees from Sylhet Agricultural University and later completed my PhD in Veterinary Medicine at Chonbuk National University, Korea. My research focuses on animal health and welfare, with particular emphasis on infectious diseases affecting livestock and poultry, as well as antimicrobial resistance (AMR). I have published approximately 100 research articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Antibiotics, Scientific Reports, One Health, PLOS ONE, PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases, and Transboundary and Emerging Diseases. I regularly present my research findings at national and international conferences. To date, I have supervised 31 Master’s students and am currently guiding one doctoral student and three Master’s students in their research projects. In addition to my research activities, I actively teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, encouraging them to pursue meaningful careers in veterinary medicine and animal science. I also serve as a reviewer for several international journals and am a member of professional organizations, including the Bangladesh Veterinary Association. Through my academic, research, and professional engagements, I strive to make a lasting impact on veterinary science in Bangladesh and beyond.
