Dr. Md. Sakhawat Hossain is presently working as a post-doctoral researcher at University of Namur, Belgium and his current research focusing on the immune-nutritional aspects of phosphate supplementation in rainbow trout. Dr. Hossain earned his BSc. Fisheries (Hons.) and MS in Aquaculture degrees from Bangladesh Agricultural University. Later he completed his PhD from the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Kagoshima University, Japan. His key research interests are in any field of Aquaculture Nutrition; with special emphasis on immunonutrition, nutritional biochemistry, functional nutrients, dietary supplements and low cost eco-friendly feed development for aquaculture species. Dr. Hossain successfully completed several university and national donor funded research projects. He is well experience working with all levels of stakeholder in farming system research and technology dissemination. He has published 40 research articles in international and national peer reviewed journals. He is also a reviewer for a number of international and national journals, made numerous presentations at aquaculture industry and aquaculture professional’s conferences around the world.
