Mr. Hossain is a dedicated teaching and research faculty at the department of Fish Biology and Genetics. He has obtained his B.Sc. Fisheries (Hons.) in 2012 and MS in Fish Biology and Genetics in 2013 from the Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh. In 2016, he has been awarded with European Best Excellence Scholarship " Erasmus Mundus" to commence his second M.Sc in Marine Environment and Resource at University of Bordeaux, France; University of Pais Vasco, Spain and University of Liege, Belgium. From January 2020, he is continuing his research and study as doctoral research fellow at Coastal and Marine Ecosystems Research Center, Central Queensland University, Gladstone Marina campus, Queensland, Australia as being awarded with approved RTP fellowship from CQU-CMERC and international excellence award from CQU. His current research will focus in reproductive characteristics, molting biology and migration of female mud crab, Scylla serrata in Queensland Coast, which will impact the future fishery management in Australia as well as other countries.
