Mr. Barman received his B.Sc. in Fisheries and MS in Coastal and Marine Fisheries from Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU), Sylhet in 2012 and 2013 respectively. After completion of his B.Sc. degree he was appointed as a Faculty (Lecturer) in the Department of Coastal and Marine Fisheries, Faculty of Fisheries, Sylhet Agricultural University, Sylhet, Bangladesh. Mr. Barman served his department from October, 2013 to August, 2017 in aspects of teaching at undergraduate and graduate level students as well as worked as research assistant in different research projects. He was involved with different cultural and social organization for the welfare of his university students. Presently he is working as a researcher in the Laboratory of Fish Population Dynamics, College of Fisheries, Ocean University of China and doing his PhD degree under the scholastic supervisor of Professor Qun Lui. Mr. Barman’s PhD research focused on the “Stock Assessment and Management of the Bay of Bengal Fisheries, Bangladesh in Relation with Some Ecological Factors”. He is adoring to identifying and mitigating new challenges related to the coastal and marine fisheries with particular emphasis on Bay of Bengal Fisheries. He is aimed to back in teaching after completion of his PhD degree and start research in his specific field. Subsequently, he envisions to train young colleagues and students in his field of research.
