Welcome to the Department of Agricultural Extension and Information System at the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The Department of Agricultural Extension & Information System is one of the major departments of Sher-e- Bangla Agricultural University and nationally recognized for quality teaching and research in the fields of agricultural extension and rural development. The applied nature of research undertaken in these fields ensures that the Department remains a relevant role player in the agricultural and socio-economic development of Bangladesh.
The Department which is equipped with a team of highly qualified teacher provides instruction on agricultural extension and information system to undergraduate students taken through a highly competitive process. The Department admits approximately 40 graduate students every year in two semesters January-June and July-December. Different compulsory and elective courses are taught which can be chosen among many alternatives on the basis of students need, interest and importance.
