From its inception in 2006, Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) has the mandate to become the flagship university in the arena of agricultural education, research and innovation in Bangladesh and beyond. Thus, it is equally important for us to be close to the interest of our communities within Bangladesh and internationally. To achieve this, we are continually working in partnership with local and international partners, governments, communities, and allied educational institutions.
Since I have been appointed as Vice-Chancellor, I have focused on developing 20 years long strategic plan for SAU and identifying opportunities for investment and growth. Shortly, SAU will start an exciting journey to become a center of excellence, guided by its new strategic plan under development. This plan will guide our activities to strengthen teaching-learning, research activities, staff development, continued investment, and leadership development. Everything we do will be oriented to strong ethics and results-based. Hopefully, our future actions will lead to excellent standards across academic areas, more impactful research, and greater involvement of communities around us.
To make our new journey meaningful, we are interested in building new alliances and reinforce our existing collaborative partnerships.
